Owner & Principal Designer
Kristen’s design ethos is shaped by curiosity, her passion for people, and a deep respect for the intrinsic beauty of materials rooted in nature. She attended design school at UC Berkeley but today finds inspiration in traveling off the beaten path to truly discover a destination and its unique characteristics. Collaborating closely with clients, architects, builders and her dedicated team, she fosters an open dialogue throughout the design process in order to craft authentic interiors.
Anya Daniels
Senior Designer
Informed by her furniture design studies in Copenhagen and her architectural degree, Anya draws inspiration from vintage furniture, archival fabrics and local architecture, composing each interior with a unique depth through texture, contrast and a sense of play. Entrusted with bringing clients’ most personal, sacred spaces to life, she works seamlessly with architects and builders to ensure each detail is handled with precision and care.
Kate Bacich
Senior Designer
Kate brings a thoughtful and hands-on approach to every phase of the design process, with particular strength in material selection, space planning, and project management. A graduate of Washington State University with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Construction Management, she blends technical expertise with a refined design sensibility. Her work is deeply influenced by her travels and the creative energy of the design and artisan communities around her. She finds inspiration in sourcing materials and collaborating with local makers to help shape spaces. Kate is passionate about designing environments that feel not only intentional, but deeply inviting—places people are genuinely excited to spend time in.
Sofia Huibers
Junior Designer
With a creative approach to interiors shaped by years of travel and exposure to diverse cultures, Sofia brings a unique design perspective informed by her studies in interior design. Her designs celebrate timeless textures, patterns and colors that transcend trends, creating atmospheres where clients can create memories, find inspiration and feel most themselves.

Operations & Procurement Manager
Sara’s deep love of interior design is matched by her expertise in project management, purchasing, accounting and operational challenges—a passion built on the foundation of her formal education in business administration. With a keen appreciation for how a thoughtfully designed space can transport you to a different place, time and mood, she thrives on creating tools and processes that empower the Kristen Peña Interiors team to deliver impactful designs.
